Shanklin really does offer its visitors the best of both worlds.
With the town and seafront on different levels, connected by road or lift, it is easy to believe that a visit to Shanklin is a dual centre holiday.
The Seafront & promenade offer everything for a great seaside holiday.
Excellent & safe bathing, with local Lifeguards on the east side of the beach, with the added sea safety of our local Independent Inshore Lifeboat (non RNLI funded) Sandown & Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat, Shanklin holds a clean 'Blue Flag' awarded sandy beaches and with a variety of entertainment Shanklin sea front is a fun & safe place to be.
Yet Shanklin has more to offer than simply charm and tranquillity; it is, at the same time, a busy and thriving town, with theatre, extensive & varied shopping and superb communications to the rest of the Island.

The beach is well served by long-shore men providing traditional and modern leisure pursuits including sailing, motorboat and canoe hire.
